(6)

STEP 6

JDK PATH (WINDOWS ONLY)

If the installation procedure detects the proper version 6 (1.6.x) or greater of Java Development
Kit on your system, its path will appear.
To accept this, click Next.

If the installation procedure does not detect the proper version of JDK version 6 (1.6.x) or
greater, use the Browse button to find it.
If a proper version is found, click Next to accept it.
If you find a version earlier than 1.6.0, the path will appear in the JDK Path window
BUT you will not be able to proceed to the next window
.

<OR>
You can let the installation procedure install the JDK:

Click the Install button to initiate JDK installation. A popup indicates that files are being
extracted.

When the Java Development Kit License window appears, click Accept.

When the Custom Setup window appears, click Next to install program features.

If a popup appears indicating there is a Public JRE installed and asks if you want to rein-
stall it, click No.

When the Wizard Completed window appears, click Finish. (If the Show the readme file
field is checked, the README window appears.) A popup should indicate that the JDK has
completed successfully.

The JDK Path window now displays the installation path of the JDK. Click Next.

STEP 7

GLASSFISH INSTALLATION OPTIONS

The Glassfish Installation Options window appears displaying Domain and network ports
information. You may change any of the information in this window exercising a few cautions:

Administrator user name and Administrator password fields hold system defaults. The
user name and password allow you to log into the Server Admin Console which is a fea-
ture located in the CanogaView EMS menu under Utilities. Make note of the default user-
name and password. Should you decide to change them, make note of the new ones.

• The default ports can be used provided they are not already in use. If in use, you can

define new ports.

If you try to use a port that is already in use, you will see a notice later in the
installation indicating that an installation failure has occurred.

If you change the top port number (8080 default) listed in the Glassfish Installation
Options window, be sure to write it down as it is required for the final step in this
procedure.

When finished, click Next.

The Administrator user name and Administrator password are not the username and password for
logging into the CanogaView EMS Core features. The default username and password for logging
into the CanogaView EMS Core features is admin for both, i.e., admin is the default username and
also the default password. You can change these after you log into CanogaView EMS.

STEP 8

USER DATA

The User Data window appears and shows the SNMP Notification Port number. The default port
number is 162. If this port is already in use by another application, you can change the number to
a different port number (e.g. 164).
Make necessary changes, then click Next to continue.

STEP 9

SUMMARY CONFIGURATION DATA

The Summary Configuration Data window appears and displays JDK information. Review the data.
then click Next to continue.
