Concerning the hold function

This function prevents the unit from operat­

ing even if one of the front panel buttons is
pressed in error.

How to receive an FM broadcast clearly

Set FM RECEPTION to NORMAL.
When the FU reception is impaired, or there

is interference from a powerful station, set it

to CITY.

Preset tuning

A total of 20 stations can be stored as
follows:

MODE 1: FM 1-5, AM 1-5
MODE 2: FM 1-5, AM 1-5

We recommend that you use MODE 1 for
daily use, and MODE 2 for travel.

■ Mode selection

Press and hold [wMODE] for more than

2 seconds.

■ Memory presetting

1. Tune in the station to be stored.

2. Press and

hold one of

the memory

buttons ([1],
[2]. [3!, [4],
[5]) for

2 seconds.

To recall a preset station

Press a memory button {[1], [2], (3], 14], [5]).
•Release the button within 2 seconds.

When using overseas

Allocations need to be changed according to
the area.

Every time the following procedure is per­

formed, the allocation setting changes as
follows:

FM0.2 MHz, AM 10 kHz*-
(original setting)

FM0.1 MHz, AM 10 kHz

FM0.05MHZ, AM9kHz-

■ How to adjust the allocation

settings

1. Press and hold [»MODE] to select the

mode (MODE 1 or MODE 2).

2. While pressing [ВАТТ CHECK], press'

and hold [» MODE] for about 3 seconds.!

•The changed allocation settings (FM

and then AM) are displayed.

Note:
Converting the allocation erases the stations'
previously stored in memory.
