Clearing paper jams
If the printer’s operator panel displays a paper jam message*, clear the paper jam as
instructed below.
Instruction varies depending on the locations of the jam.

The labels attached to the inside of the top cover show where the jam locations are and
contain some information.

ote
• Be very careful not to tear the paper when clearing paper jams.
If a small piece of paper is left in the printer, it could cause additional jams.

y Slide the cassette out of the printer, and remove any damaged
paper from the tray.

• The cassette weighs approximately 4.7 kg {10.3 lbs.} when it is fully loaded. Hold it
carefully with both hands as shown below.
