y Open and close the top cover.
The paper comes out of the printer and the paper jam message is cleared.
If the paper jam message is not cleared, follow the next steps.
Open the top cover and remove the toner cartridge.

• Do not expose the toner cartridge to light for more than 3 minutes to avoid
damage.
• Do not expose the toner cartridge to direct sunlight to avoid damage.
• Wrap the toner cartridge with a protective black plastic sheet to avoid damage.
Grasp both sides of the jammed paper and slowly pull the paper out
of the printer. Do not tear the paper.

ote
• If the jammed paper is stuck and you can not pul! it out, remove the jammed paper as
instructed “PAPER JAM 2” step 2 to step 6 (see page 53).
