Multi Function Display

Timer indicator

Lights when the D-VHS VCR is set for a Timer Recording,

or when a length is set for a normal recording.
The Timer Indicator flashes when a Timer Recording is set,

but a tape has not been inserted into the D-VHS VCR.

REC(ord) Indicator

Lights during recording.

STEREO Indicator

Lights when the station you are

tuned to is broadcasting stereo.

Cassette-In Indicator

Lights when a tape is

in the D-VHS VCR.

SAP Indicator

Lights when the station you are

tuned to is broadcasting SAP.

REC Level Meter

Repeat Indicator

VCR Indicator

Lights when the VCR/TV

selector is set to D-VHS VCR.

Function Indicator

Shows what the D-VHS VCR is doing.

SPEED Display

Displays the recording speed.

Hi-Fi Indicator

Lights when Hi-Fi audio is

monitored or played back.

Display

• Displays the current time.

• Briefly displays D-VHS VCR status when a

function button is pressed.

• Briefly displays the channel number, or “L"

when a channel or line input is selected.

• Displays “d" when DTV is selected.

• Displays the tape counter during tape operation.
• Displays “HOLd” if an invalid key is pressed

when the VCR lock is activated.

• Displays “HS" or “STd" mode for 5 seconds when

SPEED is pressed during digital playback, or

while a digital broadcast is received when HS or

HS/STD of the D-VHS switch is selected.

• Displays “CP” (Copy Protection) when copy

protected program is detected during digital

playback or digital recording.

• Displays “ACT’ when D-VHS VCR is in menu

screen mode.

• Displays “PRG” when D-VHS VCR is in program

screen mode.

• Displays “SnF” (Signal not Found) when digital

signal is not received via IEEE1394 cable during
digital recording (see page 37).

AC Power Plug

While plugged into an AC outlet, the

D-VHS VCR consumes 8.9 W of

electrical power in OFF condition.
