) “AA” size alkaline batteries are required.
Alkaline battery Precautions:
If improperly used, the batteries may leak and cause corrosion. Therefore, observe
the following;
•Install batteries according to the diagram.
•Do not mix old and new batteries, or carbon and alkaline battery types.
• Remove all batteries when not using the player for extended periods.
• Do not charge, short-circuit, disassemble, heat, or dispose of in fire.

Repiacing the Batteries:
Replace the batteries when blinking
mark “CS] ” appears on the player’s
display.
Notes:
•When using alkaline batteries, you might notice the data transfer speed slows and
access time increases.
• If the blinking mark
appears on the player’s display while using the alkaline
battery with the Macintosh attached, quickly connect the AC adaptor. Otherwise the
Macintosh may hang up.
•
• Power Save Function is effective (BS^ P. 9).
•When an audio CD is played in the Normal mode on the player using alkaline
batteries, the power automatically goes off after the last track has been played.
