Pro16 Mode

Set the mode switch to P

ro

16 for systems with 16 or fewer channels when a single Pro16 input device is

used. Channels are laid out on the A360 as they are on the A-16II and A-16R Personal Mixers. There is a one-

to-one correspondence between the input device’s channel patching assignment and the Personal Mixer’s

channels, and this channel order cannot be changed. Stereo links set on the system’s input device appear

as adjacent channels on all Personal Mixers.

The Dual Profile Channel may be used to mirror any mono channel or stereo channel pair. The One-Touch

Ambience must use the onboard microphone.

Default Mode

Set the mode switch to D

efAult

when two or more input devices—up to four AN-16/i v.2 Input Modules,

or one Pro16 input device (AN-16/i-M, AN-16/i or console card) with up to three AN-16/i v.2—are used to

create a personal mixing system with more than 16 input channels.

In Default mode the A360 expects to receive the enhanced Pro16e A-Net packet and will assign channels

that are stereo linked at the input device under a single A360 mix channel button. If a 16-channel Pro16

A-Net source is connected while the A360 is set to Default mode, the A360 will automatically detect the

difference and will place the 16 channels one-to-one across the 16 channel buttons with stereo pairs

appearing on adjacent buttons as described above for Pro16 mode.

In Default mode, channels are assigned to the A360 mix buttons in the default order (see the table that

follows); the odd/even audio channels on the input devices are treated as stereo pairs. When the input

device’s stereo link switch is set for mono, only the odd (left) input of the pair is used and the A360 mix

channel button is mono. With the stereo link switch at the input device set for stereo, the channels are a

left/right pair, the corresponding A360 mix channel button is stereo and the Spread function becomes

available.
