10. Encrypting File System and KCS

Encrypting File System (EFS) is a Windows feature that can be used to encrypt specific files, folders, or

drives. It protects confidential data from attackers with physical access to the computer.

EFS can be used to encrypt the data files of KCS core (TCOSS) and TC/Archive.

10.1 Encrypting TCOSS

Create a new Windows user, for example “KCS”.
