Note The service name and display name parameters are optional. If omitted the
service will be named “INDICIUSScriptedExport_Ascent” with display name
“INDICIUS Scripted Export for Ascent”. Specify the command line parameters
appropriately to ensure all Scripted Export services installed on a multi-processor
machine have unique names.
Installation Using the Optional Parameters
This section includes examples which use the optional command line parameters. For
descriptions of the parameters used and their default values refer to the table above.
Note The following examples demonstrate installing the standard instance of
Recognition as a Windows service. The same commands can be used for Scripted
Export (by changing ka_iform.exe to ka_scriptex.exe) or an additional instance of
Recognition (by using the –i command line parameter).
The command line arguments are all written on a single line at the command
prompt.
To install the standard instance of Recognition as a Windows service with
additional dependencies
1 Open a command prompt and enter the installation instructions in the
following format:
ka_iform.exe -install -account <domain>\<account name> -password
<password> -depends <semi-colon separated list of dependencies>
For example,
ka_iform.exe -install -account MyDomain\MyAccountName –password
MyPassword –depends
lanmanworkstation;MyOtherDependency1;MyOtherDependency2
2 Press Enter to run the command.
A message box will display the success of the installation.
To install the standard instance of Recognition as a Windows service and
start the service automatically
