INTRODUCTION
1.1
OVERVIEW
This chapter presents general information on the
color-view™
spectrophotometer such as instrument specifications, details of the
host computer, environment, interface, and power requirements.
1.2 SPECTROPHOTOMETER SPECIFICATIONS
Specifications of the
color-view™
spectrophotometer are presented
in the following subsections. The spectrophotometer contains an
optical sensor with a light source, polychromator, and detector. The
optical sensor uses an internal light source. Details on the light
source are given below.
1.2.1
Light Source
The light source consists of a tungsten-halogen lamp operating at a
correlated color temperature of approximately 2854°K. The
operating lamp approximates CIE Standard Illuminant A.
