PROBLEM

Cooking results
are not what you
expected

The range is not level.

The oven temperature seems too
low or too high.

The oven was not preheated
before baking.

The recipe has never been
tested or is not from a reliable
source.

The pan used is not the type or
size recommended in the recipe.

There is not proper air circulation

around pan when baking.

Cooking utensil does not fit the
surface unit being used.

Level range. (See Installation Instruc­

tions.)

Adjust the oven temperature control.
(See “Adjusting the oven temperature
control” on page 14.)

Preheat oven when called for in recipe.

Use only tested recipes from a reliable
source.

Refer to a reliable cookbook for recom­
mended pan type and size.

Allow 1V4 to 2 inches (4-5 cm) of air space
on all sides of pan.

Pan should be the same size or slightly
larger than surface unit being used.

The display

shows the last
time of day set

There has been a power failure.

Reset the clock. (See page 11.)
