Configuration Using the Web Interface

Rate Control

Rate control is a form of flow control used to enforce a strict bandwidth limit of a port. You can program
separate transmitting (Egress Rule) and receiving (Ingress Rule) rate limits for each port, and even apply the
limit to certain packet types as described below.

Ingress
Packet Type

You can select the packet type that you want to filter. The Ingress packet types
supported are:

Broadcast/Multicast/Unknown Unicast

Broadcast/Multicast

Broadcast

All

The Egress rate supports all types of packets.

Ingress/
Egress Rate

These columns allow you to manually assign the limit rate of the port. Valid values
support 128Kbps, 256Kbps, 512Kbps, 1024Kbps, 2048Kbps, 4096Kbps, and
8192Kbps.

Apply

Click Apply to apply the settings.
