MAKING BUTTONHOLES

Your machine can make a button hole easily by the following
steps. Practice on a piece of cloth is recommendable for a better
finish.

Change a presser foot to a buttonhole foot.
Push drop feed button all the way down. Set zigzag lock at
5 position and make the upper bar tacking with several
stitches by turning balance wheel by hand. Stop machine
when needle is at the left. (Step No.l)
Raise the feed by pushing “UP” button and set zigzag lock
around 2 and sew the left row to a desired length. (Step
No. 2')
Make the lower bar tacking by the same way as mentioned
in Step No. 1 and raise the needle out of fabric. (Step
No. 3)
