STARTING INSTALLATION OF LOG SET
Your Golden Blount Log Set is to be installed only in a
solid-fuel burning fireplace with a working flue con-
structed of noncombustible material. Solid fuels shall not
be burned in a fireplace where a decorative appliance is
installed. The minimum permanent vent openings pro-
vided by the fireplace chimney or chimney damper to vent
the flue products is listed on page 2. The chimney damper
must be fixed in a manner to maintain the minimum
permanent vent opening. This may be accomplished by
fastening a bolt in the edge of the damper to prevent
closing or a hole or holes may be provided in the damper.
The installation, including provisions for combustion and
ventilation air, must conform with the American Standard
National Fuel Gas Code Z223. 1-1988 and applicable
local building codes.

Do not store or use gasoline or other
flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity
of this or any other appliance.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
1. Do not try to light any appliance.
2. Do not touch any electrical switch; do
not use any phone in your building.
3. Immediately call your gas supplier from
a neighbor’s phone and follow the gas
supplier’s instructions.
4. If you cannot reach your gas supplier,
call the fire department.
Massachusetts State Code requires
damper to be welded open or removed.
