FOR EDGE MORTISING

Insert a 1" screw (5772B) thru the holes in the fence plate

and the two slots that run parallel to the short side of the base.
Insert a 3/4" square nut (NUT025) in each slot recess in the
underside of the base and start each screw in a square nut. From
the top of the base, position the fence on the base (usually equal
to the width of the part) and tighten the screws. See fig. 6 and
cover photo.

FOR END MORTISING

Two mounting positions are provided, one on either side of

the base. Insert a 1" screw (5772B) thru the holes in the fence
plate. Insert one screw in the hole in the base with the threaded
insert and tighten loosely. Insert the other screw thru the slot
in the base. Insert a 3/4" square nut (NUT025) in the recess in
the underside of the base and start the screw in the square nut.
Position the fence square to the front edge of the base and tighten
the screws. See fig. 7.

FOR ANGLED MORTISING

Two mounting positions are provided, one on either side of

the base. Insert a 1" screw (5772B) thru the holes in the fence
plate. Insert one screw in one slot in the base that runs parallel
to the short side of the base. Insert the other screw thru the slot
in the base that run parallel to the long side of the base. Insert a
3/4" square nut (NUT025) in each slot recess in the underside of
the base and start the screws in the square nuts. Position the fence
at the angle desired to the front edge of the base and tighten the
screws. See fig. 8.

ATTACH CLAMPS & STOPS

Assemble and attach the toggle clamps (6305IC) to the

fence following the instructions that came with them.

Insert a 3/4" bolt (HB020) thru the hole near either end of

the miter track. Install a 1/2" washer (WB002) and a wing knob
(5560) on each bolt on the underside of the table. The head of the
bolt should be engaged in the 6” Miter Track (4206). Position the
tracks where desired to control travel of the Mortise Table and the
length of the mortise. See fig. 9 & 10.
