Watchdog
During initialization, the FPGA loads its bit stream from one out of two serial PROMs connected
to the FPGA. One serial PROM acts as stand-by, the other as active device. During blade
production, both serial PROMs are programmed with identical images. You can switch
between active and stand-by serial PROM via an IPMI command. For details refer to the ATCA-
F120: Control via IPMI Programmer’s Reference -> Section: System Boot Options Commands.
4.5.2
Watchdog
The FPGA contains a watchdog which is enabled by default.
For information about how to upgrade the FPGA images and how to obtain new FPGA
images, consult your local sales representative.
