4. Prepare measurement

Inserting battery
• Remove the battery compartment cover.

• Insert the two batteries into the battery compartment

ensuring correct polarity.

• Use exclusively brand­name batteries of the type 2 x 1.5 V

Micro (Alkaline Type LR03).

• Then close the battery compartment by fitting the cover

and clicking it in position.

If the battery change

is continuously illuminated, meas­

urement is no longer possible and you must replace all the bat­

teries. Once batteries have been removed from the device, the

time must be reset. The stored measured values are last.

Used batteries do not belong in the household waste. You are

legally obliged to dispose of the batteries. Dispose of them

via your specialist electrical supplier or local collec ting point

for recyclable waste.

note: Batteries containing pollutant substances

are marked as follows: Pb = Battery contains

lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium,

Hg = Battery contains mercury.
setting date and time
It is vital to set date and time. Only in this way is it possi­

ble to save and subsequently retrieve your measured values

with the right date and time.

Press the key and to adjust the month. Then press the

and in turn to adjust the date, hour, minute and con­

firm the entry .

The time is being displayed in 12­hour format, which means

a time from 13:00 onwards is being displayed as pm 1:00.

5. Measuring blood pressure

Positioning cuff

• Bare your left wrist, making sure that the circulation in the

arm is not restricted by any clothes etc. that are too tight.

Position the cuff on the inside of your wrist.

• Fasten the cuff with the Velcro fastening so that the upper

edge of the monitor is positioned approx. 1 cm below the

ball of your thumb.

• The cuff has to be fitted tightly around the wristbut should

not constrict it.

Important: The instrument should only be operated with the

original cuff.
