If the fryer does not work after having been connected to the el. outlet, press button

D6

(

RESET) with a suitable tool (e.g. a screwdriver).

Place the assembled deep fryer on an even surface (e.g. kitchen table) at a height of at

least 85 cm, out of reach of children, connect the power plug

D7 to the electrical grid –

indicator lights

D4 and D5 will turn on. Pour the frying medium into the pot B up to the

mark

MAX. Using the control dial D3 set the desired temperature (information about the

required temperature is found on the food label or in the table in this user’s manual). Allow

the medium to full heat up (approx. 10 minutes). The correct temperature is indicated by

the indicator light

D5. Slowly place the full basket C into the pot B. Subsequently close

the lid

E and the deep frying may begin. It is normal for steam to be emitted from the lid

during deep frying, this is not a defect. We recommend that you regularly stir the foods

while frying to prevent them from sticking together. After fi nishing cooking the food turn

the dial

D3 to the off position. Remove the lid so that you do not come into contact with

hot steam, pull the basket above the level of the frying medium and then hang it in the

storage position. Allow excess oil to drip off the food.

WARNING

While heating the thermostat may cycle (the indicator light turns on and off). This is not

considered to be a defect.

Preparing fried food

– Wet food intended for frying has to be dried (e. g. in a cloth). Always spice food after

frying, do not spice food above the frying container or during frying.

– Some food (meat, fish) can be breaded. Food should be breaded evenly and excessive

breadcrumbs should be removed thoroughly.

– Food like doughnuts can be fried floating in the oil without the basket.

– Cut food like chicken in half. Thus you will prevent later scalding when taking the food

out of the basket.

– In frying food like French fries, select higher temperatures. On the contrary, while frying

heavier food, e. g. chicken legs or burghers, choose lower temperatures so that the food

is prepared evenly.

– The best way to prepare French fries is to fry them in two phases. Let French fries cool

down before the second frying.

– Do not put too much food in one batch, it could get stuck together.

– Remove excessive ice from frozen food.

– If you fry food several times, wait between frying until the required temperature is

reached and the control light is off.

– In frying more types of food, start with the food requiring lower temperature.

– When frying pre-fried food, use higher temperature and shorter time than for raw food.

– Do not fill the basket more than to one half, otherwise the oil temperature will drop and

the result of frying will not be optimal.

ATTENTION

In frying food containing large amount of water or frozen food, immerse the basket in

the oil slowly; you will prevent the frying oil from foaming over.
