Start external
power supply

Switch off engine and ignition, shed all loads

Select „External power supply“ mode (lower switch position)

Acctiva 12/24-20: adjust selector switch according to the battery voltage

5.

Connect (+) charging terminal to the plus cable of the system being supplied

6.

Connect (-) charging terminal to negative pole of the system being supplied, or to
the vehicle body (e.g. engine block) in the case of vehicle electrical systems

General remarks

The external power supply mode is used to ensure consumers have a power supply
when changing the battery (time, radio set-up, etc. are not lost)

Carefully detach pole terminals from the battery, the charger takes over the function
of the battery

Change the battery

10. Connect pole terminals to the correct poles on the new battery

WARNING! Risk of explosion from short circuits and arcs. Before connecting
to/disconnecting from battery, disconnect charger from mains supply. During
operation, check that charging terminals are properly connected to the system
being supplied.

Stopping the
external power
supply

Stop the external power supply as follows:
1.

Depending on the charger type, move selector switch to O position or press STOP
button

Disconnect (-) charging terminal from the negative pole of the system being sup-
plied, or from the vehicle body (e.g. engine block) in the case of vehicle electrical
systems

4.

Disconnect (+) charging terminal from the plus cable of the system being supplied

Unplug machine from the mains

Unplug machine from the mains

To start the external power supply, proceed as follows:

Indicators flash alternately

CAUTION! Risk of damage to the in-vehicle electronics if incorrect voltage is
selected in the external power supply mode. Before starting the external
power supply, ensure that the selected charging voltage is the same as the
battery voltage. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage that
arises from selecting an incorrect charging voltage.
