Application Notes
When used in GAI-Tronics SmartSeries cabinet, this unit can power 20 Monitored Input Modules (MIM)
or four Monitored Relay Modules (MRM) or 20 Audio Distribution Modules (ADM). If MRMs are used
in combination with MIMs or ADMs, the total load requirement must be calculated to ensure that the
4.2A output is not exceeded.
• The normal input voltage of the power supply is 120 V ac.
• For 120 V ac applications, use the power cord provided with the unit.
• For 240 V ac applications, a Belden No. 17566 Power Cord must be used in place of the power cord
supplied with the unit. No internal wiring or switches need to be changed for 240 V ac operation.
• The power supply module inside the chassis is equipped with an internal fuse protection which is not
accessible. Do not attempt to repair or replace the fuse—call GAI-Tronics for service.
