General Information

This manual provides complete instructions for installing the following kits: Model 12507-001,
12507-002, 12507-003, and 12507-004. This kit includes the following components:

Instructions

1. Kits 12507-001 and 12507-002 only: To determine

which screw to use, measure the resistance from the heat
sink to the ground on the printed circuit board with the
transistor removed. If a direct connection exists, use the
nylon screw. If no connection exists, use the steel screw.
Intermediate resistance values indicate a leakage path or a
problem and must be remedied. DO NOT over-tighten
the nylon screw, or the threads may be stripped.

2. Follow the basic procedure outlined in Figure 1. Note

that the heat sink (Item 4) is NOT included with the kit.

3. Be sure to install the washer with the shoulder inserted

into the transistor mounting hole.
