General Information
The Model XAC0120A External Speaker Kit provides the components necessary to install an external
amplified speaker to a Model IPE2500A-MLS Desk Set (purchased separately). The external speaker
will broadcast the unselect channels of the IPE2500A-MLS, allowing the desk set’s integral speaker to
broadcast only the select channel. This kit includes the following components:

Installation
Refer to Figure 1 on page 2.
1. Inside the IPE2500A-MLS Desk Set, move the jumper JU816 to position 1 and 2. Connect the
leads of the 61531-052 cable assembly to terminal block J801, positions 17 and 18 (also inside the
desk set). Connect the silver wire to position 17 and the copper wire to position 18.
2. Connect the 7-foot modular cable (provided with the No. 13360-001 Speaker) between the
No. 13360-001 Amplified Speaker and the No. 21217-006 Connector.
N OTE 1: The plug-in power supply is configured for 120 V ac operation. Four different adapters are
provided for connection to an international ac source. Slide the 120 V ac adapter out of the supply
and insert the desired adapter for 230 V ac operation.
