Instructions for Use

Product Description
The cold-curing SR Ivolen is especially suitable for the
fabrication of individualized trays, base plates and
registration base plates.
In conjunction with the corresponding adhesive, SR Ivolen
can be used with most impression materials.

Contraindication

Material must not be processed in the oral cavity.

Material is unsuitable for alginates and hydrocolloids.

If the patient is known to be allergic to any of the
ingredients in SR Ivolen.

Application

After blocking out undercuts, soak the cast and isolate
with Ivoclar Vivadent Separating Fluid.

Mix the polymer (powder) and monomer (liquid)
according to the Instructions: 1 measuring spoon of
SR Ivolen polymer to 6 ml of SR Ivolen monomer. Mix in
a mixing cup and spatulate well until the dough no
longer sticks to the mixing cup. Knead the dough for a
few more seconds. Wear gloves for kneading.

SR Ivolen can be immediately applied and shaped; the
material is not sticky. Alternatively, the material can be
pressed between 2 polyethylene sheets with a
compression roller to form a layer of uniform thickness.

Adapt SR Ivolen to the cast; shape with a suitable
instrument and cut off excess.

You may use excess to form tray handles.

After the material has self-cured for approx. 7 minutes,
trim the margins with burs or similar instruments. If
desired, you may also polish SR Ivolen.

Warnings

The monomer contains methyl methacrylate (MMA)

MMA is irritating and easily flammable (flash point:
+10 °C/50 °F)

MMA is irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory
system

May cause sensitization upon skin contact

Avoid contact of the skin with monomer or uncured
material. Commercial medical gloves do not provide
protection against the sensitizing effect of
methacrylates.

Do not inhale vapours

Keep away from sources of ignition – no smoking.

Do not empty into drains.

Take precautionary measures against static discharges

Storage

Storage temperature: 2–28 °C / 36–82 °F. Protect
material from light.

Do not use material after the indicated date of
expiration.

Keep out of the reach of children.
