Instructions for Use
Description
Dual Cement is a microfilled, light- and self-curing
composite cement for the adhesive cementation of
composite, ceramic, or Ceromer/FRC restorations.
Dual Cement is distinguished for its excellent
physical properties, high abrasion resistance,
continuous fluoride release, as well as good
radiopacity. Dual Cement is available in one highly
translucent shade that optimally adapts itself to the
restorations and the surrounding tooth structure.
Composition
The monomer matrix consists of urethane dimetha -
crylate and decandiol dimethacrylate. The inorganic
fillers are silicon dioxide and ytterbium trifluoride.
Additional contents are catalysts, stabilizers, and
pigments. The total contents of inorganic fillers are
61 wt. % or 38 vol. %.
The particle size is between 0.04 and 0.3 µm, with a
mean grain size of 0.2 µm.
Indication
Dual Cement has been designed for the adhesive
cementation of lab-fabricated restorations made of
composite, ceramics, or Ceromer/FRC.
Contraindication
The use of Dual Cement is contraindicated
–
if a dry operating field cannot be established or
if the stipulated working technique cannot be
applied, or
– if patients are known to be allergic to any of
the ingredients of Dual Cement.
