Keypad

The Pegaso is available with a 19-key keypad. Refer to the PRG for information
on configuring the keypad.

Table 3. Keypad Overview - Special Keys

System Tray Keyboard Indicators
The System Tray Keyboard Indicators are located at the bottom of the display.
The most recently activated state is to the left if more than one state is active.
Scroll between icons to view the active modes.

<Alpha>

Press

<Alpha>

to access upper case alpha characters and symbols on the

19-key keypad.

Numeric

Keys

In

Normal

mode, use the numeric keys to enter numbers. In

Alpha

mode

these keys can be used to type uppercase letters or punctuation.

<Fn>

Press

<Fn>

to enter the FN input state. Use FN mode to access additional

features and operations.
A customizable keypad overlay will be available for order, allowing you to
remap the Keypad to your specifications.

<Power>

Press

Power

to put the Pegaso into sleep (suspend) mode if it is currently

running, and wake up (resume) the unit if it was in sleep mode. Press and
hold it briefly to turn off the unit.

<Scan>

Press

<Scan>

to activate the laser scanner.

4-Way

Rocker

Key

Press the edge of the 4-way rocker key to move the cursor or highlighted text
entry during a menu/list selection. In a text window:

The

<Up>

arrow moves the cursor

up

one line.

The

<Right>

arrow moves the cursor to the

right

one character.

The

<Down>

arrow moves the cursor

down

one line.

The

<Left>

arrow moves the cursor to the

left

one character.

<Send/End>

Used to initiate or end

VOIP

when

VOIP

software is installed.

Mode

Press

<Alpha>

to enter uppercase alpha characters and symbols. When

in Alpha mode, the current alpha character is displayed by a system tray
keyboard indicator.
Alpha mode is persistent, which means that the system stays in Alpha
mode until you press

<Alpha>

again.

Fn Mode

Press

<Fn>

to enter FN mode.

<Fn>

is independent of the

<Alpha>

key.

Use FN mode to access the features and operations on the keypad.
