PERATION

NCast's Capture Agents are advanced streaming and recording encoders which produce highly compressed,
industry standard Mpeg-4 media streams and files. There are several different ways to start and stop a recording
session using these encoders:

Touch Panel – Most rooms typically have a Crestron or AMX type touchpanel controller

Google Calendar Scheduling – NCast has used Google Calendar as a scheduler for many years

Presentation Server Scheduling – The Administration interface implements a scheduler

Archive Upload – Recorded files on the encoders may be manually uploaded

The flexibility and integration capabilities of these encoders are unmatched in the industry.

REDENTIALS

The upload process to PS fits into the Upload method used by the Channel architecture of the encoder. Upload to
PS is conceptually no different than, say, and FTP upload to any other content management system. Special
REST API's have been implemented to execute this upload.

So, the first step in configuration is to go to the Configuration-->Presentation Server panel and enter the required
credentials to access the server. Once this has been entered and the function enabled the encoder will register
with the server.

From that point on the encoder will keep the server posted with its online status.
