Switching the display brightness

The brightness switches as shown below each
time the button is pressed (and released
within 1 second)

Some of the display remains lit if no disc is playing
or loaded.

• This setting is memorized in the DCD-700AE.

Switching the pure direct mode

The mode switches as shown below each time
the button is long-pressed (held in for more
than 1 second)
in the stop mode.

MODE 1

OFF

• “PURE DIRECT ON MODE 1” is displayed

for about 2 seconds, then turns off.

• Digital output : Yes (valid)

• “PURE DIRECT ON MODE 2” is displayed

for about 2 seconds, then turns off.

• Digital output : No (invalid)

• “PURE DIRECT OFF” is displayed for about

2 seconds.

• The normal play mode is set.

depending on the operation mode.

For a music CD:
• Total number of tracks
• Total playing time
• Track number
• Elapsed time, etc.

For MP3/WMA files:
• Total number of folders
• Number of tracks
• Folder number

• Artist name
• Album name, etc.
