INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. To mount Box Grader to Super Star you must remove the rake lift.

2. On all Super Stars unhook the speed boss before removing the rake lift. The speed boss does not need to

function when using the Box Grader.

3. If your machine has a parking brake, remove the two bolts from the park brake bracket where it mounts to

the side of the rake lift.

4. Now you may remove the rake lift from the machine.

5. Enclosed is a park brake adapter bracket (Ref 3). This needs to be installed between the pivot bracket and

the main frame on the right hand side. This allows you to bolt the park brake back up.

6. Position the Box Grader unit at the rear of the trap rake, using the bolts (Ref 8) that hold the rake lift on,

bolt pivot brackets (Ref 5 & 7) and park brake adapter bracket to the frame. Please note the way the
pivot brackets mount to the machine. Trim cuts point up and tabs bend in.

7. Loosen jam nut on cylinder, remove the existing yoke from the cylinder and install the lift yoke (Ref 2) that

was shipped with the Box Grade. Turn the lift yoke half way on the cylinder shaft.

8. Attach the lift yoke to the Box Grader.

9. Bolt the park brake handle assembly to the park brake adapter bracket.

10. Turn the trap rake on and test the operation of the cylinder lift several times to make sure the grader

blade travels all the way up. To adjust, turn cylinder extension counterclockwise to lower and clockwise to
raise.

11. Test park brake to make sure nothing came unhooked while moving.

12. Springs should be adjusted to a length of 7". Adjust tension to your preference. Tighten to increase trip

pressure.

13. To lower break up bar, remove the two clevis pins from the sides of the Box Grader. The break up bar will

tilt forward.

The speed boss is not used with Box Grader. Leave unhooked.
