OPERATION
Operating The Angle Broom
The angle broom is used to clear dirt, debris, and snow from side-
walks and driveways
.
Tip: Damage to the angle broom and the BRUTUS may be caused if PTO
is engaged while in the travel position.
WARNING!
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Never direct discharge toward bystanders, building or other property.
Foreign objects or ice chunks can be thrown great distances.
1. Using the hand crank (Item 1), adjust both wheel heights (Item
2) to be half the diameter of the bristles (Item 3).
EXAMPLE: If the diameter of the bristle (Item 3) is 24 inches (310
mm), the wheel height (Item 2) would be 12 inches (155 mm).
2. Set the base spring tension adjustment knob (Item 4) to 0.25
inch (6.35 mm) of threads showing (Item 5).
Tip: The base spring adjustment is a base setting. During sweeping opera-
tion, an adjustment may be required to get the desired sweep pattern.
