♦
Place the rough grinding or cutting disc on the 
mounting fl ange with the label side towards 
the appliance.
♦
Then replace the tensioning nut on the mount-
ing spindle with the raised side facing up.
♦
Press the spindle locking button to lock the
mechanism.
♦
Tighten the tensioning nut using the span-
ner .
NOTE
►
If the disc does not turn smoothly or vibrates 
after the change, the disc must immediately 
be replaced.
♦
For safety’s sake, run at high idle for 60 
seconds after every disc change. Be aware of 
unusual noises and sparks.
♦
Check whether all the fastening elements are 
correctly fi tted.
♦
Make sure that the arrow showing the direction 
of rotation (if any) on the cutting or rough grind-
ing discs (including diamond cutting discs) and 
the direction of rotation of the appliance (arrow 
showing the direction of rotation on the head) 
match.
General information about the 
supplied grinding tool
■
Grinding tools are very fragile. Extreme care is 
required when handling grinding tools.
■
Check grinding tools and brushes for damage 
prior to initial use. Do not use damaged, incor-
rectly clamped or incorrecty installed grinding 
tools.
■
Follow the safety instructions on the grinding 
tools as well as the restrictions on use or safety 
instructions.
Storage and handling
■
Grinding tools are to be treated with care and 
transported carefully.
■
Grinding tools should be stored in such a way 
that they are not exposed to mechanical da-
mage or environmental infl uences (e.g. moisture).
Before using the grinder
■
You should subject grinding tools to a visual 
inspection before each use.
■
Do not use grinding tools if they are damaged 
or if the expiration date has elapsed.
