Required tools and materials:
Blade, squeegee, adhesive strip, ruler, spray
bottle
Fill spray bottle with a water-shampoo solution
(about 8 drops shampoo to 1 l water). Use a
mild, pH-neutral shampoo.
As an example we give you the instructions for
fitting the film to a rear window. Fitting
sunscreen foil to side windows is done in the
same way. Avoid bending the film when fitting!
Fitting instructions:
1. Carefully clean the inside and outside of the
glass, particularly the corners, using a
commercially available glass cleaner (Fig. 1).
2. Spray the outside of the window with the
water-shampoo solution and place the film on
the glass. Important! : Make sure that the
glass is not heated up from exposure to the
sun. Cut the film at least 2 cm oversize all
around and make sure not to cut off the
imprinted General Operating Approval number
(Fig. 2).
3. Spray the inside of the cleaned window with
the water-shampoo solution (Fig. 3).
4. Peel the transparent backing foil off the
sunscreen film. By applying an adhesive strip
to both sides of the film the backing foil can be
peeled off more easily. Then lightly spray the
sunscreen film on the bonding side with the
water-shampoo solution (Fig. 4).
5. Now apply the wet side of the film to the
inside of the glass and position it (Fig. 5).
6. Using the squeegee supplied with the film,
push the water out toward the edges until no
air bubbles are left between glass and film (Fig.
6).
7. Using the blade supplied with the film and a
ruler, cut off the excess film. Make sure not to
cut through the heating elements of a rear
window heating. If necessary, lightly respray
the film corners and repeat stage 6 of the fitting
instructions.
8. Carefully rub the film dry with a lintfree cloth.
Make especially sure that the edges are dry.
Done!
Drying may take several days, depending on
the weather.
The covered glass surfaces can be cleaned
with a glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Do not
use any corrosive cleaning and scouring
agents.
Fitting to sharply curved glass:
If applying the film to sharply curved glass, we
recommend cutting the film into a number of
vertical stripes. If the curve is moderate, 2-3
horizontal stripes will suffice. If the glass is
sharply curved, you should use 4-6 stripes.
Begin with the uppermost stripe and then apply
the other stripes. This way you ensure that the
water from the following stripes does not cause
the stripes already applied to come off. After
fitting the film, spray the glass once more and
push the water towards the edges, using the
squeegee.
Easy removal:
Peel a corner of the film off the glass. Then
slowly remove the film. Adhesive residue can
be removed from the glass, using the scraper.
Please note: Under the regulations of the
German Federal Office of Motor Vehicles the
windscreen and front side windows must not be
covered. Bonding or joining the film to the
window mounting or the rubber seal is also not
permitted.
The General Operational Approval certificate is
enclosed with the packaging and must be kept
with the motor vehicle, after the film is fitted.
To fit the sunscreen film to the rear window,
you need to have an outside mirror on the
passenger side. Please observe the traffic
regulations and the conditions of car
registrations of the country in which you are
driving the motor vehicle.
Benötigte Arbeitsmittel:
Messer, Rakel, Klebestreifen, Lineal,
Sprühflasche
Füllen Sie die Sprühflasche mit einer
Wasser-Shampoo-Lösung (auf 1 l Wasser ca. 8
Tropfen Shampoo). Verwenden Sie ein mildes,
pH-neutrales Shampoo.
Als Beispiel zeigen wir Ihnen die Montage
einer Heckscheibe. Verfahren Sie beim
Bekleben der Seitenfenster genauso. Achten
Sie während der Verarbeitung darauf, dass Sie
die Folie nicht knicken!
Montageanleitung:
1. Reinigen Sie die Innen- und Außenseite der
Scheibe, insbesondere in den Ecken, gründlich
mit einem milden Glasreiniger (Abb. 1).
2. Befeuchten Sie die Scheibe leicht von außen
mit der Wasser-Shampoo-Lösung und legen
Sie die Tönungsfolie darauf. Wichtig!: Achten
Sie hierbei darauf, dass die Scheibe nicht
durch Sonnenstrahlung stark erhitzt ist.
Schneiden Sie die Folie so zu, dass rundherum
mindestens 2 cm überstehen, und die
eingedruckte ABG-Nummer nicht weggeschnit-
ten wird (Abb. 2).
3. Sprühen Sie die gereinigte Scheibe von
innen mit der Wasser-Shampoo-Lösung ein
(Abb. 3).
4. Ziehen Sie die transparente Schutzfolie von
der Tönungsfolie ab. Bringen Sie je einen
Klebestreifen auf beiden Seiten der Folie an
und ziehen Sie diese auseinander. So lässt
sich die Schutzfolie leichter entfernen. Danach
sprühen Sie auch die Tönungsfolie auf der
Klebeseite leicht mit der Wasser-Schampoo-
Lösung ein (Abb. 4)
5. Jetzt legen Sie die befeuchtete Folie auf die
Innenseite der Scheibe und bringen Sie in
Position (Abb. 5).
6. Mit dem beiliegenden Rakel schieben Sie
das Wasser zu den Rändern hin heraus, bis
zwischen Scheibe und Folie keine Luftblasen
mehr zu sehen sind (Abb. 6).
7. Schneiden Sie die überstehende Folie mit
Hilfe des beiliegenden Messers und eines
Lineals ab. Achten Sie beim Nachschneiden
darauf, dass die Heizdrähte der Heckscheibe
nicht durchtrennt werden. Bei Bedarf sprühen
Sie die Folienecken noch einmal ein und
wiederholen den Punkt 6 der Montageanlei-
tung.
8. Reiben Sie die Folie mit einem fusselfreien
Tuch vorsichtig trocken. Achten Sie besonders
darauf, dass die Ränder trocken sind. Fertig!
Die Trockenzeit beträgt, je nach Witterung,
mehrere Tage.
Die beklebten Glasflächen können mit
Glasreiniger und einem weichen Tuch gereinigt
werden. Bitte verwenden Sie keine
ammoniakhaltigen Reiniger oder Spiritus
Montage bei stark gewölbten
Scheiben:
Bei stark gewölbten Scheiben empfehlen wir,
die Folie in mehrere Längsstreifen zu
schneiden. Bei mäßiger Wölbung reichen 2-3
horizontale Streifen aus. Bei sehr stark
gewölbten Scheiben sollten Sie mit 4-6 Streifen
arbeiten.
Beginnen Sie mit der obersten Bahn und
fahren Sie dann mit den weiteren Streifen fort.
So gewährleisten Sie, dass das Wasser der
nachfolgenden Streifen die bereits
angebrachten Streifen nicht wieder löst.
Nachdem die Folie angebracht ist, besprühen
Sie die Scheibe erneut und streichen das
Wasser mit dem Rakel zu den Rändern hin
heraus.
Einfache Demontage:
Folie an einer Ecke von der Scheibe ablösen.
Danach langsam abziehen. Sind Klebereste
vorhanden, können diese mit dem Glasschaber
von der Scheibe entfernt werden.
Was Sie beachten sollten: Sowohl die
Windschutzscheibe als auch die vorderen
Seitenscheiben dürfen nach den Bestimmun-
gen des Kfz-Bundesamtes nicht beklebt
werden. Auch eine Verklemmung oder
Verbindung der Folie mit der Scheibenfassung
oder der Gummidichtung ist nicht zulässig.
Das ABG-Zertifikat liegt der Verpackung bei
und muss nach der Montage der Folie im
Fahrzeug mitgeführt werden.
Für die Anbringung der Tönungsfolie auf der
Heckscheibe benötigen Sie einen
Außenspiegel auf der Beifahrerseite. Bitte
beachten Sie die Straßenverkehrsordnung und
die Zulassungsbedingungen des Landes, in
dem Sie das Fahrzeug führen.
