These sockets allow you to install M.2 SSD modules.
• For AMD Ryzen™ 3 rd Generation Processors, the M.2_1 socket supports PCIe 4.0
x4 mode and SATA mode M Key design and type 2242 / 2260 / 2280 / 22110 storage
devices.
• For AMD Ryzen™ 2 nd Generation / Ryzen™ 2 nd and 1 st Generation with Radeon™
Vega Graphics Processors, the M.2_1 socket supports PCIe 3.0 x4 mode and SATA
mode M Key design and type 2242 / 2260 / 2280 / 22110 storage devices.
• The M.2_2 socket supports PCIe 4.0 x4 mode and SATA mode M Key design and
type 2242/ 2260/ 2280/ 22110 storage devices.
The M.2 SSD module is purchased separately.
