The boom mic comes with a foam pop filter preinstalled on the end of
the mic capsule. This can be removed for washing or preference by
simply pulling it off the end of the mic.
Internal Mic
When the boom mic is unplugged, Maxwell will automatically switch to
the internal microphone for communications. This can be used for on-
the-go conversations or for those that prefer a lower-profile look to their
headset.
Beamforming array
Maxwell features a multi-mic beamforming array built into the earcups.
These mics help triangulate and narrow down the area of mic pickup to
a narrow cone in front of your face. This helps eliminate pickup from
other sources like keyboards, noisy children, hurricanes, and other
nuisances and greatly enhances voice quality.
Disabling the mic
The Maxwell microphones (both internal and boom mic) can be disabled
by switching the mute switch on the left earcup to the DOWN position at
any time.
