6. tighten the jam nut, then close the motor

cover.

Setting 45° Stop Bolt

1. disConneCt saW From poWer!

2. raise the blade as high as it will go, then tilt it

towards 45° until it stops and cannot be tilted
any more.

3. place a 45° square against the table and

blade so it contacts the blade evenly from
bottom to top, as shown in

Figure 117. make

sure a blade tooth does not obstruct the
placement of the square.

—if the blade is 45° to the table, then adjust-

ments do not need to be made.

—if the blade is not 45° to the table, you will

need to adjust the 45° stop screw. proceed
to the next step.

4. tilt the blade to 20°, so there is room for the

stop bolt to move.

5. loosen the jam nut on the 45° stop bolt (see

Figure 118) then adjust the stop bolt in or out
according to how far off the blade was from
45°.

6. Continue adjusting the stop bolt until it con-

tacts the cabinet when the blade is at 45°,
then tighten the jam nut.

7. reconnect the power, then recalibrate the

digital readout (refer to procedure on

page

79) before operating the table saw.
