Common Keypad Displays

Listed below are several keypad messages you may see on the display. Follow the instructions in the Possible Solutions column to correct
the problem. In most cases, you will need to call a service person to correct the problem.

Meaning

Possible Solutions

Invalid Code

The user code you have entered is not recognized by the system.

Check the user code and try again.

Closing Time

The schedule has expired but the area has not been armed.

Users still on the premises are reminded to arm the system
or extend the schedule to a later time.

Late to Close

The system was not armed at its scheduled closing time.

Users still on the premises are reminded to arm the system
or extend the schedule to a later time.

AC Trouble

The system is not getting proper power.

Call your service person.

Battery Trouble

Battery is either low or missing.

Call your service person.

System Trouble or

Service Required

There is a problem with one or more of the components in the system. Call your service person.

System Busy

The system is performing another task with a higher priority.

Wait a few moments for the system to finish the task. If
System Busy appears on the display for a long period of
time, the processor could be locked up. Contact the
service department.

No supervised device on bus

Call your service person.

Low Voltage or an open yellow wire

Call your service person.

Two devices on same address

Call your service person.

Transmit Fail

The panel has attempted to communicate with the central station 10
times and has not succeeded.

Call your service person.

Non-Polled Address The keypad has been assigned to an invalid address.

Call your service person.

4-Wire Bus Trouble
