Only experienced network administrators should use this page to perform advanced DHCP server configuration:

CAUTION!

Do not modify these settings unless you are an experienced network administrator with strong
knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, and DHCP.

Field

Description

LAN IP Address

You can type the IP address of the SBG940 for your private LAN. The default is
192.168.0.1.

LAN IP Subnet Mask

Displays the subnet mask in dotted-decimal format. The default is 255.255.255.0.

Starting IP Address

Enter the starting IP address to be assigned by the SBG940 DHCP server to clients in
dotted-decimal format. The default is 192.168.0.2.

# of DHCP Users

Sets the number of clients for the SBG940 DHCP server to assign a private IP address.
There are 253 possible client addresses. The default is 253.

DHCP Server Lease Time Sets the time in seconds that the SBG940 DHCP server leases an IP address to a client.

The default is 3600 seconds (60 minutes).

Domain Name

Sets the domain name for the SBG940 LAN. The default is None.

Time To Live

Sets the TTL (hop limit) for outbound packets. The default is 64.

Interface Maximum
Transmission Unit

Sets the SBG940 LAN MTU in bytes. The minimum is 68 bytes. The default is 1500 bytes.

Apply

Click to apply your changes. You must reboot the SBG940.
