Installing a Modem Card

The modem card installs in the same slot and in the same

manner as the CompactFlash card.

Booting Your Computer

For DOS Applications

1. Apply power by pressing the [I/O] (Resume/Suspend)

key or pressing the reset keys ([Gold], [Esc], [0])

simultaneously and holding for three seconds. The

Power Status LED will light.

2. The default load on the card displays these choices:

1. Norand

R

Utilities

2. DOS Command Prompt. Making this choice puts

you to the DOS prompt 600 C:\>.

3. If you do not make a choice within 10 seconds, your

600 Series computer automatically boots to the

Norand

R

Utilities. From the Utilities Programs, as-

suming you have the appropriate host software and

hardware, you can setup the communication options

and also download your application.

For Windows CE Applications

The following steps outline the initial boot and Windows CE

load on the 602 Computer.

1. The AT BIOS loads the boot sector from the IDE drive.
2. MS-DOS loads itself from the IDE drive and executes

from RAM. It loads device drivers from

C:\CONFIG.SYS then executes the system command

shell, C:\COMMAND.COM, which then executes

initial commands from C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT.
