SUBSIDIARY SETTINGS

Your unit needs to memorise all necessary stations in channel
positions in order to record TV programmes. Auto Channel Set
automatically assigns all receivable stations in your area to call
them up by using the PR +/– buttons without going through any
vacant channels.

Auto Channel Set

Press SET UP in DTV mode to access the Main Menu screen.

Press selection keys to select

AINITIAL SET UPB, then press

ENTER.

Press selection keys to select

ACHANNEL SETB, then press

ENTER.

Select

AAUTO SEARCHB, then press ENTER.

AAUTO SEARCHB
starts.

Upon completing
AAUTO SEARCHB, the
screen display returns
to the Main Menu
screen and

AAUTO

SEARCH SCAN
COMPLETED

appears on the TV
screen. Press ENTER.

Press SET UP to

NOTES:

Fine tuning is performed automatically during Auto Channel Set.

If you perform Auto Channel Set when the aerial cable is not
connected properly,

ANO SIGNALB appears on the TV screen in

step 4. In such a case, make sure of the aerial connection, select
ARETRYB, then press ENTER. Auto Channel Set will start again.

Manual Channel Set

Perform manual channel set to add new channels or when
checking the signal condition of the channels.

Press SET UP in DTV mode to access the Main Menu screen.

AINITIAL SET UPB, then press

ENTER.

Press selection keys to select

ACHANNEL SETB, then press

ENTER.

Press selection keys to select

AMANUAL SEARCHB, then

press ENTER.

Press the number
keys
to enter the
channel number, then
press ENTER.

AMANUAL SEARCHB
starts.

Confirm the signal
condition with the
signal level bar. If the
picture is displayed, it
does not matter even if
the level bar indicates
below mid-level.

Once the channel is received, the screen displays the
programme list for a few seconds before returning to the
AMANUAL SEARCHB screen.

If the channel is not received, the screen display returns to the
AMANUAL SEARCHB screen without displaying the programme
list.

Repeat step 5 to add or check other channels.

Upon completing

AMANUAL SEARCHB, press SET UP on the

remote control.

Tuner Set

Turn on the unit.

Turn on the TV and select an input mode such as EXT1.

Slide the TV/DVD switch to DVD.

IMPORTANT:
Perform the following steps only if ^
^ Auto Channel Set has not been set correctly by Auto Set Up.

^ you have moved to a different area or if a new station starts

broadcasting in your area.

IMPORTANT:

In certain reception conditions, the station channel numbers
may not be stored correctly. When the channel numbers are
not set properly, the programme that you do not intended to
record will be timer recorded. When programming timer
recording, be sure to check that the desired channel is
selected correctly.

Your unit memorises all receivable stations even if reception of
some of them is poor. You can delete those stations with an
unacceptable picture from the PR list. (A pg. 65,
