Changing the Password

Select PARENTAL CONTROL from the
SET UP menu. (see page 59)

Enter your four digit password using the
0–9 buttons.
The PARENTAL CONTROL menu
appears.

Move the joystick up or down to select
CHANGE PASSWORD, and press

.

Enter a new four digit password using
the 0–9 buttons.

Enter the password set in step 4 again to
confirm.

If you entered it incorrectly, “Password
incorrect” appears.

Re-enter the correct password.

Press MENU to exit the menu.

If you have forgotten your password

In step 2 of “Changing the Password” above,
enter the master password “4357”
(corresponding to “HELP” on the phone
number pad). You can then store a new
password.
Notes
• If you entered “4357” as your password

the first time, you cannot store a new
password. (see step 2 of “Activating the
PARENTAL CONTROL Feature” on page
64)

• When you select a PARENTAL

CONTROL program and the

indicator

is displayed on the screen, you cannot
view that program even if you enter
“4357.” (see “To unlock the PARENTAL
CONTROL feature temporarily” on page
65)
