Insert batteries or fully charged cells into the battery compartment. Be sure to
insert the batteries/cells with their correct polarities. The correct polarity is in-
dicated inside the battery compartment. Close and secure the battery compart-
ment.
2 Check to see if the voice recorder now functions as it should.
Should this not be the case:
3 Open the battery compartment

. Using a pointed object press the Reset but-
ton

down; it is to be found in the battery compartment, located somewhat
sunken between the two batteries/cells. Take steps to ensure that the batteries
do not fall out of the battery compartment. The voice recorder switches itself
off through the pressing of the Reset button

. Close and secure the battery
compartment.

Switch the voice recorder on and check to see if the malfunction has cleared it-
self.

When formatting new memory cards (see chapter 8.4 »Using memory cards instead
of the device internal storage system«) error messages can occur. Confirm the error
messages in these cases; select »OK« to them by pressing the function button D

malfunctions as described, or
Ú other malfunctions occur during the operation of the voice recorder.
