Sign In mode

Anonymous mode

Students can connect to the class, but they must
sign in with their assigned ID numbers.

Students can connect to the class without
identifying themselves.

by locking a class.

You don't need a class list to operate SMART Response software in Anonymous mode. See About

Sign In and Anonymous modes on the previous page for more information.

To start a class in Anonymous mode

In SMART Notebook software, select Response > Start Class, and then select Anonymous

Mode.

If students are using clickers,the receiver’s Ready light flashes and then turns solid green, and

the receiver's Transmit light flashes green.

If SMART Response software is in CE mode, the name of the SMART Teacher file and class

information appears in the student's SMART Notebook SE Quick Links tab.

You can now ask the students to connect.
