aLphanUmeric 2-way paging fUnction

FleetSync is an Alphanumeric 2-way Paging Function, and is

a protocol owned by

Kenwood Corporation. Each transceiver

has a unique ID which is used to decode signals from other

callers.

You can set up the transceiver

CAL key to perform 1 of 2

functions, or you can turn the

CAL key off (unused):

Call Alert: Press the CAL key before making a call will send

your call alert tone to your party members, identifying yourself

before speaking.
Selcall: Press the CAL key then select from a list of IDs to

make calls to specific transceivers.
To set up the

CAL key:

 With the transceiver power OFF, press and hold the MENU

key while turning the transceiver power ON (for 1 second).

 Press the or key to select “ ”.

 Press the MENU key then press or to select “

(call alert), “

” (selcall), or “

” (off).

 Press the MENU key to exit the selection.
 Press the PTT, MON, or CAL key to exit Setting Mode.
