The AV 5101 can learn two distinct sets of commands these being either for
a source (TV, CD, VCR, etc) or an amplifier. In order to learn a source follow
steps (A) and (C) or to learn an amplifier steps (B) and (C).
(A) Learning a Source
Press the LEARN key.
The LEARN indicator will illuminate.
Press the Audio/Video source select key to identify which source you are
programming.
For example, if you are programming the keys to control a VCR press the
VCR source key.
The LEARN indicator will blink once to confirm this source has been
selected.
The keys that can be learnt in this case on the AV 5101 Personal Handset
consist of the groups (3) programmable source control keys, (6)
programmable numeric keys as well as the STANDBY key. In addition there
is also the special case of a TV source which can also learn onto group (5)
volume and balance.
Now proceed to (C) LEARNING KEYS.
(B) Learning an amplifier
Press the LEARN key.
The LEARN indicator will illuminate.
Press the MODE key.
The LEARN indicator will blink once.
Press the source key you wish to learn the new amplifier commands
under.
The LEARN indicator will blink once.
The keys that can be learnt in this case on the AV 5101 Personal Handset
consist of groups (2) AV System functions, (4) AV source keys and (5) volume
and balance.
Now proceed to (C) LEARNING KEYS.
