(C) Learning keys

Press the programmable key you want to program on the Personal

Handset.

For example to program the PLAY key press PLAY.

The LEARN indicator will flash slowly to show that the Personal Handset is

ready to receive a function from the other infra-red handset.

Press and hold the key you want to learn on the infra-red handset.

For example, if you are programming the Play function press and hold the

Play key on the infra-red handset. The LEARN indicator will flash rapidly on

the Personal Handset indicating that it is receiving the incoming infra-red

signal. Continue to hold the key until:

i)

The LEARN indicator begins to flash slowly. This indicates that the key

has not yet been programmed successfully, and you should try again.

ii) The LEARN indicator turns on continuously. This indicates the key has

been programmed successfully and the Personal Handset is now ready to

learn another key for the source you have selected.

Repeat the two steps described above for all the other keys you want to

program onto the AV 5101 Personal Handset for this source.
