Replace the batteries like this
Remove the old batteries and replace with four AAA or LR03 type
batteries, checking the polarity carefully.
Note: Do not touch the exposed contacts on the handset panel as this may
damage the handset with static electricity.
Re-assemble the handset like this
Replace the panel in the handset case, locating the three LEDs in the
corresponding holes in the case first.

If necessary, press the edge of the rubber membrane into the case.
Refit the three screws and tighten them gently.
Note: Do not overtighten the screws.
