water) on the check strip.

Checking with Control Solution
OneTouch ® Normal Control Solution
contains a known amount of glucose
that reacts with OneTouch
® Basic ® ,
Profile ® , OneTouch ® II Test Strips. Control
solution should be used to practice the
test procedure and to make sure your
meter and test strips are working
together properly as a system.
Before you use the OneTouch ® Basic ®
Meter to test your blood glucose for the
first time, practice the procedure using
control solution. When you can do three
tests in a row that are within the
expected range, you are ready to test
your blood.
