12. If impact wrench is available, rapidly torque

impact bolt until rotor “pops” off of tapered
engine crank.

If impact wrench is unavailable, restrain rotor
and tighten bolt with socket wrench until rotor
“pops” off. A slight tap of the impact bolt with a
babbitt hammer may be required.

13. Replace rotor onto shaft. Be certain to:

- Tighten rotor to 22 - 25 ft.-lbs.
- Check air gap between stator and rotor.

Gap must be .020” MIN.

- Tighten (4) long bracket bolts to 4.5 - 5.5

ft.-lbs.

- Rewire unit as detailed in diagram, past-

ed onto inside of roof.

- Tighten all hardware and insulate all

leads accordingly.
