Stainless and High Alloy Stick Electrode
Blue Max ® E9016-B9 H4 DC± Blue Max ® SL 9Cr (P91) is a basic, very low hydrogen stick electrode designed for
SL 9Cr (P91) AC 9% Cr, 1% Mo creep resistant and hydrogen-resistant steels commonly used in
power plants and petrochemical industries. SL 9Cr weld deposits can be used at
a maximum service temperature of 1200°F (650°C).
Blue Max ® E307-16 DC+ Blue Max ® Arosta 307 is a stainless steel stick electrode designed for steels that
Arosta 307 AC are difficult to weld and dissimilar joints. Extra manganese is added to improve
resistance to hot-cracking.
Blue Max ® E308-17, DC+ Blue Max ® 308/308L stick electrode is ideally suited for joining 304 and 304L
308/308L AC-DC E308L-17 AC stainless steels. Can also be used on other common austenitic stainless steels
referred to as “18-8”. Designed for all-position welding, except vertical down.
Blue Max ® E309-17 DC+ Blue Max ® 309/309L stick electrode is ideally suited for joining carbon steels or
309/309L AC-DC E309L-17 AC low alloy steels to stainless steels. Designed for all-position welding, except
vertical down.
Blue Max ® E309LMo-16 DC+ Blue Max ® Arosta 309Mo is a stainless steel stick electrode designed for welding
Arosta 309Mo AC mild steel to stainless steel and root runs in cladding applications. Maximum plate
thickness in butt welds is 1/2" (12.7 mm). Suitable for repair welding in dissimilar
metals and difficult to weld steels.
Blue Max ® E316-17, DC+ Blue Max ® 316/316L stick electrode, with its distinctive blue coating, is for joining
316/316L AC-DC E316L-17 AC 316 and 316L stainless steels. Designed for all-position welding, except vertical
down.
Blue Max ® 2100 — DC+ Blue Max ® 2100 is designed for “hard-to-weld” applications. It provides high
AC resistance to cracking, yet high strength when joining steels that are normally
difficult to weld. Designed for all-position welding, except vertical down.
Blue Max ® E2209-16 DC± Blue Max ® Arosta 4462 is an all position stainless steel stick electrode designed
Arosta 4462 AC for welding duplex stainless steels. For applications up to 480°F (250°C) and down
to -40°F (-40°C). It has a high resistance to general corrosion, pitting and stress
corrosion.
Blue Max ® E2209-15 DC± Blue Max ® Jungo 4462 is a stainless steel stick electrode designed for welding
Jungo 4462 AC 22% chromium duplex stainless steels. Can be used in applications with service
temperatures up to 480°F (250°C) and down to -58°F (-50°C). It has a high
resistance to general corrosion, pitting and stress corrosion.
Blue Max ® Jungo E2553-15 DC+ Blue Max ® Jungo Zeron 100X is a stainless steel stick electrode designed for
Zeron 100X welding 25% Chromium super duplex stainless steels. Core wire alloyed.
Improved corrosion resistance, high strength and reliable impact toughness.

Stainless, Nickel & High Alloy Stick Electrode
The Blue Max ® AC-DC series of stainless steel electrodes is characterized by their distinctive blue coating and spray
type metal transfer. These electrodes can be lightly dragged, if desired, on the surface of the base metal with no fear
of freezing to the weld. The 3/16” diameter size is generally limited to flat and horizontal welding.
