Encrypting a Call

When your videoconference requires a high level of security, you can encrypt
your calls. Encryption scrambles a callÕs video and audio signals so they are
unintelligible without the key to decryption.

When you encrypt a call, all of the information you send to the people at the far-
end site is encrypted. For example, if you send a still snapshot of an image, the
snapshot is encrypted.

This section describes how to encrypt individual, dialed calls. If you want to
encrypt all of your dialed calls, or if you want to encrypt nondialed calls, see your
system administrator or the Concorde¥4500 AdministratorÕs Guide.
