Quick Scan
If you live in one of the cities or regions listed in the “Quick Scan”
menu, select your city or region and start scanning all available
digital channel signals.
1 Press HOME MENU.
2 Select “Setup” (
/ then ENTER).
3 Select “DTV Setup” ( / then ENTER).
4 Select “Installation” ( / then ENTER).
• The password entry screen appears. Enter your four-digit
password using buttons 0 to 9.
5 Select “Quick Scan” ( / then ENTER).
• Select your city or region from Adelaide, Brisbane,
Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Batchelor, Canberra, Darwin,
Newcastle, Wollongong, Hobart or HobartNE.
6 Select the city or region ( / then ENTER).
• Channel search automatically starts. If any new channel is
found, it is automatically registered on the plasma television.
• To quit a channel scan in progress, press RETURN. If you quit
scanning halfway, all channels may not be registered properly.
Make sure to repeat scanning again until it is completed.
Note
• You can select “DTV Setup” only while viewing DTV channels.
• If the city or region where you live in is not on the list, select
“Auto Scan”.
• The channel frequencies in each city/region are preset in the
tuner’s database. If the frequency is changed by the local TV
station or a new channel commences broadcasting, you will
have to find these channels using Manual Scan (see page 42)
or Auto Scan.
Auto Scan
Auto Scan searches for digital programmes on receivable
channels through the VHF and UHF bands without designating the
city or region you live in.
1 Press HOME MENU.
2 Select “Setup” (
/ then ENTER).
3 Select “DTV Setup” ( / then ENTER).
4 Select “Installation” ( / then ENTER).
• The password entry screen appears. Enter your four-digit
password using buttons 0 to 9.
5 Select “Auto Scan” ( / then ENTER).
• A confirmation screen appears.
6 Select “Yes” to start “Auto Scan” ( / then ENTER).
• The tuner starts scanning from channel 6 to channel 69. The
percentage bar shows the progress.
• If any new channel is found, it is automatically registered on
the plasma television.
